Origin of Katano Shrine

Katano shrine sitting in Makinozaka, a corner of Katano Plateau.

In the era of Suinin Emperor Izumo 's clan nomisukune won the sumo with Taima no Kehaya, worshiping Kouchi Koku in that prize, enshrining Susanou, the god of Izumo, and making it a guardian of Haziuzi.

In the Warring States Period, it was ruined many times in the battle.
However, Toyotomi Hideyoshi was rebuilt.

During the construction of Osaka we worshiped Katano Shrine as the company protecting the castle Kimono.

The main hall is designated as an important cultural property of the country as a stone of the architecture of the Momoyama period.
