Onokorozima Shrine Origin
Onokorozima Shrine is an ancient Mihara Irie, a hill conveyed as a sacred place for domestic fortune of Izanagi and Izanami, and has long been familiar with the island for a long time and has been revered.
According to Japanese mythology, in the early days of the Kamiyo period, at the time of the creation of the land, Ikyosuke and Iku stood out from the floating bridge of the sky, stirring the ocean with a swamp of heaven.
At that time, the dripping tide became a massive island. This is
Izanagi and Izanami fell on the Onokorozima Shrine, built the Hachijo, first bore Awajishima, and in turn produced Daehachi State (Awaji, Iyo (Shikoku), Oki, Kyushu, Iki, Tsushima, Sado, Honshu).
