Origin of the Ujigami Shrine
Uji no Wakiiratsuko was learned a lot from a young age, was familiar with various things, was a knowledgeable person.
Therefore, my father 's Emperor Ōjin was beloved and loved and became a crown prince.
However, when Emperor Ōjin passed away, Uji no Wakiiratsuko gave up his Emperor 's job to his older brother' s Emperor Nittoku. And I built a residence in the current Uji and lived there.
However, Emperor Nittoku also said that it should follow the will of Emperor Ōjin and tried to give Uji no Wakiiratsuko the position of the Emperor.
It is when my brother and sister broke up and three years passed.
The crowd got frustrated and the world began to be disturbed.
Uji no Wakiiratsuko who hurt my heart from the turbulence of the world committed suicide.
Emperor Nittoku who heard this news was very surprised.
With surprise and sorrow in mind, we carefully buried Uji no Wakiiratsuko.
This is said to be the beginning of Ujigami Shrine
