Origin of Shirakawa Hachiman Shrine

The age of Shirakawa Hachiman Shrine is unknown.
According to legend, it is said that it was founded from 708 to 715.

The elderly cedar in the precincts is said to be about 200 to 300 years and it is a natural treasure of the village.
The enshrined God is believed as Mr. Ogzin Emperor and Ubusuna faith as Mr. God of Hagincho, Togano and Shima Village, and it reaches today.

From ancient times, we are delighted with the harvest of autumn, making sake, with new grain, dedicating to god, respecting, respecting the nature, celebrating the mutual aesthetics of Aki with traditional Shishimai and so on.
